Much that's old (and historical) and some that is new will be featured this year at the Bluffton-Pandora Swiss Community Historical Society's Fall Festival celebration on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Schumacher Farmstead at 8350 Bixel Road.

Held annually, this event is part of the Bluffton community-wide Fall Festival celebration. New at the Homestead this year will be an Indian village, a Swiss chorus, a lecture on medicinal herbs, and the newly restored woodworking shop and flagstone floors and walkways.

Peter Suter of Shannon Theatre announced that Walt Disney's The Lion King (G) is showing at the theatre from September 23 to September 29.

3D shows are every evening at 7:00 & 9:30 PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM.

2D shows are Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 PM only.

Everett Collier of Bluffton is a member of the Amil Teller's Encore Theatre production of "To Kill A Mockingbird."

Collier plays the role of Tom Robinson in the productino.

Performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16-18, and Sept. 23-24-25. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.

The play is a dramatization by Christopher Sergel from the book by Harper Lee.

Bluffton's next American Red Cross blood drive is from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The Freed Center for the Performing Arts, Ada, presents two performanaces of The Amy Marshall Dance Co., and the ONU Dance Co.

Performances are Saturday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m.
