Ticket sales end on Thursday, March 11, for The Centre's murder mystery dinner "Poison Ivy," according to Brenda Gaines of The Centre. The event is Saturday, March 13, at The Centre, 601 N. Main St.

Doors open at 6 p.m., hors d'oeuvres are served at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. A cash bar is available. No tickets are sold at the door.

The menu includes baked steak, home-style beans, buttered corn, chicken victoria, new red potatotes, bread and butter, stuffed shells with marinara, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks.

The Bluffton High School junior class will hold a prom dress sale from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 13, in the BHS cafeteria.

Persons may bring their prom dresses and homecoming dresses to sell at the event. Those dresses must be brought to the high school between 3:30 and 6 p.m. on Friday, March 12.

This is a cash only sale. No checks will be accepted. The event benefits the junior class post prom committee.

The 9th annual soup and sandwich supper hosted by the Mennonite Memorial Home women's service group is in early March. The event is from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at the Home. It offers a take-out or dine-in option.

There will be serving three soups; ham and bean, chicken noodle vegetable and broccoli cheese soup. Also served will be sloppyjoes, hot dogs, and pulled pork sandwiches, cornbread muffins and a selection of desserts.

Celtic night is the theme of the Town Hall Concert Series at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 13, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick.

The series is held on the third floor of the town hall and admission is by donation.

Bluffton, originally called Shannon Ohio is known for the nearby Swiss Settlement, however the town itself was founded by Irish settlers. On March 13 we celebrate Bluffton's Celtic heritage in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Bluffton Public Library shelves will be showcasing more than just books during the month of March. In honor of "Student Art Month," various art projects created by Bluffton and Cory-Rawson students will be displayed throughout the library.

A course covering infant and child CPR techniques will take place at Bluffton Public Library on Thursday, April 15, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Representatives of the Allen County Chapter of the American Cross will teach the course. The cost is $35 per participant and the course is open to people ages 10 years old and above.
