Remember Newsies, the movie? Here's your chance to see Newsies JR live on stage: The Bluffton High School Drama Club will have performances on April 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m., and April 16 at 2:00 p.m. on the Middle School stage. Doors open at 6:30 on Friday an Saturday, and 1:00 on Sunday.

Reserve seating tickets are on sale in the Bluffton Middle School office during school hours. General admission tickets will be available at the door.

NEWSIES JR.
Disney's Newsies JR. is a 75-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.

Program by Master Gardeners on March 25 at Findlay Hancock County Public Library 

Spring is here; time to get out in the yard! How can we do better this year?  Help for your landscaping and vegetable gardens is available Saturday, March 25 by the Master Gardeners of Hancock County. The program is free and open to the public, hosted by the Findlay Hancock County Public Library, at 10:00 a.m., to be held in the Lindamood Room.

St. Mary's Catholic Church hosts March 23 event from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

As the seasons change, the American Red Cross is reminding the public that the need for blood doesn’t take a break.

Donors of all blood types, especially type O donors and platelet donors, are encouraged to make and keep appointments to donate. Book a time to give by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.

When donors lend an arm this month, the Red Cross will lend a hand. All who come to give blood, platelets or plasma March 1-31, 2023,​​​​ will receive a $10 Visa® Prepaid Card by email. Plus, they'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a $3,000 Visa Prepaid Card – which could help toward expenses like gas or groceries. There will be five lucky winners. Mennonite Memorial Home of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1 at 10:00-10:30 a.m. sharp! (FLYER)

The 2023 Jefferson Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at the City Club, 144 S. Main St., Lima, Ohio beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The national program recognizes the “unsung heroes” by awarding individuals who give their time and effort, on a volunteer basis, to improve their communities. The national program, founded in 1972, was brought to Lima in 2001.
