It's already back-to-school season! Breakfast plays a crucial role in the day. Research shows that kids who eat breakfast tend to have improved cognitive skills, better academic performance, and are healthier overall. However, finding a nutritious breakfast that keeps children satisfied can be challenging. The optimal choice includes a healthy carbohydrate paired with protein or healthy fats to help them stay full until lunchtime.

AUG 13 MEDIA RELEASE__A new self-care class will be offered at the Bluffton Senior Center beginning on Fridays in September at 12:30 p.m.
Rachel Bidlack will be teaching Fascial Maneuvers, a 1-hour class. This is a self-care movement practice, used to open up the body from mobility issues, arthritis, chronic pain, tension and more.
It can be done seated, standing or even in a wheelchair. The class helps to relieve stress from the body which leads to chronic disease and dysfunction.
Fees: $25 cash payment to instructor at each session.

For many, family is considered a sacred bond—unchangeable, unconditional and lifelong. But for a growing number of Americans, family relationships are not a source of support, but of deep pain and distance. Family estrangement, once a taboo topic kept behind closed doors, is now a rising and recognized social trend. Research shows that approximately 1 in 4 Americans are estranged from at least one family member. The reasons are complex and the impacts are profound.
On April 28, 1978, Steve Martin released King Tut on his album A Wild and Crazy Guy. The song was previewed on Saturday Night Live (SNL) on April 22nd of the same year. The song hit number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was great advertising for the Tutankhamun Treasures exhibit touring in 7 U.S. cities at the time.
