Icon fan mail from Nancy Beach Crum

Hi Fred,

I highly doubt you remember me, but I was a classmate of yours at one time. Having moved from Bluffton when I was going into the sixth grade, I have always considered Bluffton my home and think of it fondly.

My sister still lives in Bluffton as does her son's family. I just happened to stumble across the Icon on Facebook and am thoroughly enjoying the site. I make it back to Bluffton from time to time, usually on Saturday after Thanksgiving for the parade and Thanksgiving with my family.

Dear Santa: My favorite reindeer is Rudolph

We'll print your letter to Santa. Here's how it works: Drop off your letter in the special box in the Bluffton Post Office lobby. The post office delivers the letter to The Icon. We print it. We then give the letter to the elves at the Bluffton Senior Citizen Center. Please provide a clear mailing address, and you will receive a response from Santa.

Note: Write a letter to Santa. Drop it in the special box in the Bluffton Post Office lobby. The Icon will print your letter. The Bluffton Senior Citizens will send a response from Santa (provided you include a mailing address).

Dear Santa

I've been good this year. How have you been? I'm sure you are good. I would like a skateboard, a new helmet, pads, a tech deck (my other one's broken),and a Julie Albright doll. I would also like a turtle webkinz. Tell the elves "hi" for me.

Trey and Terron Boblitt write to Santa

NOTE: THE ICON WILL PRINT YOUR LETTER TO SANTA. DROP IT IN THE SPECIAL MAIL BOX AT THE BLUFFTON POST OFFICE. WE'LL PRINT IT AND OUR ELF FRIENDS AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER WILL SEND A RESPONSE IF YOU PROVIDE A MAILING ADDRESS.

Dear Santa:

I want some toys. Please bring me a toy for Charlie, Night at the Museum #2, Star Wars toys, Legos and Playdough. I also want a Big Wheel. Terron says please bring me Star Wars toys, Star War puzzle, Star War leapster game.

We promise to be good!

Letter: Julie Rayis from Columbus

Bluffton Icon:

What a pleasure to see your site! Reading about the Blaze made me sorry to have missed it and pledge to put it on the calendar for next year!

Our Oscar Velasquez print of the Blaze hangs proudly in our home at Christmas as we tell visitors all about it! It's one of our happiest Bluffton memories since moving to Columbus 8 years ago.

Thanks for the many Bluffton clippings among our archives. They are getting new press as we prepare scrapbooks for graduations.

Letters: I like your website

I really like your web site. Just read the info on Julia Lucas Curtis. Hope you can add lots more like this over time.

You might start with adding a special column just for Bluffton's most senior citizens, like Mrs Patterson. She's 99 and still has a sharp mind full of memories, if not recorded soon will be lost.

I think of others that have passed away that should have had their stories recorded, like Herb Conrad, and Maurice Fett just to mention 2.
