The first part of this summer newsletter provides context for the Bluffton Exempted Village School purchase of property across from the elementary school on Vine Street. As you know, Bluffton Exempted Village Schools is a landlocked district in the middle of town. This presents both benefits and challenges. A benefit is that our school helps to promote a vibrant community within downtown Bluffton. Before and after school, students can be seen walking uptown or being picked up by their parents in the downtown area, which contributes to a sense of oneness between the school and downtown.

HANCOCK COUNTY: Ramp closure at the Village of Bluffton to impact traffic on Wednesday.

State Route 103 ramp to Interstate 75 northbound at the village of Bluffton will close for approximately one day for bridge repair.

The Allen County Health Department will have a Vaccine Clinic on August 18 at Bluffton Middle School from 10:00 a.m.-Noon.

Bluffton Exempted Village Schools are transitioning to a new message system by One Call Now.

The Sendit alert system previously used by Bluffton Schools is stopping operations on July 31.

JUNE 15 MEDIA RELEASE__The first meeting of the Bluffton Music Boosters for the 2025-2026 school year will be Monday, August 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the High School band room.

Parents of all music students in Bluffton Schools are welcome to attend and be a part of the boosters.

We continue to meet on the first Monday at 7:00 p.m.--in September on 2nd Monday due to holiday--in October, November, January, February, March & April.

MEDIA RELEASE__Area teachers: the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center would like to assist you by putting together packets for your opening days of school.

You would need to bring all papers already copied/printed, the order that you want them in (an example), and how you would like them put together (gallon zip bags, stapled, etc.).

Drop off items a week before they are needed and our volunteers will put everything together for you to pick up for your students.

Call the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center at 419-358-8971 and ask for Sherry or Tanya for more details.
