FROM FACEBOOK_Bluffton's Swiss Community Historical Society is excited to host its annual Swiss Day at the Swiss Heritage Center on Sunday, June 28. This is the first time Swiss Day will be held at the new center. The event is for historical society members and non-members with an interest in the history of early Bluffton and Pandora.
Participants are asked to bring a hot and cold dish and their own tableware, gather at 12:30 p.m. and plan to eat at 1:00 p.m.
FROM FACEBOOK__Interstate 75 northbound at State Route 103 (143 MM) at the village of Bluffton is restricted to the left lane Tuesday-Friday, June 23-26, for bridge deck repairs.
FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__On Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. a Safe Driving Tips for Mature Drivers and Car-Fit will be offered at the Bluffton Senior Center.
The Safe Driving Course will teach how to protect yourself and others while on the road. This course will include ideas on how to stay agile to drive longer, warning signs that a person might have a higher risk of endangering themselves, how to know if cutting back on driving is the right choice and more. Details will be given on alternative transportation options, including how to use the RTA bus system.

MEDIA RELEASE__The Village of Bluffton would like to inform residents, visitors and motorists of an upcoming traffic pattern change affecting access along State Route 103 near I-75.
Beginning June 22, due to road construction, there will be no traffic access to eastbound State Route 103 between the I-75 Northbound ramps and Pocono Drive. Motorists should use the posted detour route to reach the area. All I-75 ramps will remain open.
A section of W. Elm St. is now open and improved with curb replacements and the addition of a tree lawn. Reporting to the council on the project, Assistant Village Administrator Bryan Lloyd said that the Village will now coordinate property owners' payments, which may be made now or over 10 years.
FROM BSC HAPPENINGS__Beginning in June, the Bluffton Senior Center's community meals normally held on the first and third Thursday, will turn to its summer schedule of only hosting one meal per month. The June meal will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 6:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering is taken to help the local food pantry.
