FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__There will be one Community Meal in January because of the Holidays. Ebenezer Mennonite Church will serve the meal on January 15 at 6 p.m. The meal is free and open to the public. A goodwill offering will be taken to help the local food pantry.

Numerous national news outlets have recently highlighted a December 24, 2025, update to the United States Postal Service manual on postmarks and postal possession. The update emphasizes that postmarks represent the date an item is processed, not the day the item is received.

Mail collected at the Bluffton, Ohio, post office is postmarked in Columbus. Items travel from Bluffton by box truck to Lima and then are transferred to a larger truck for the second part of the journey.

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__The current Tai Chi class at the Senior Center will end January 8. The next Tai Chi class will start February 10 and run for six months. Sign up for that class will be January 14 for members and January 28 for non-members.

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__Pastor Trent Boedicker from Putnam County Home Care and Hospice will be presenting another six-week Bible Study on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. starting on January 14 and running through February 18. The topic will be “Starting fresh and Leaving the Past Behind.” Everyone is welcome. Please sign up ahead of time to ensure materials are prepared for everyone. 

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__Bonnie Newman has been teaching line dance classes at the Bluffton Senior Center for a few years now. Organizers have decided to try and have class every week instead of twice a month. Come and enjoy this fun, energetic, make all the mistakes you want, we don’t care activity with us. Classes are on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. It is $2 for members and $3 for non-members. 

FROM BSC NEWSLETTER__Kathy Withrow from Elara Health will begin an Education and Exercise Class on Friday, January 9 at 11:30 a.m. The focus of this class is strengthening and stretching to music. It can be done from a chair or standing. The goal is to maintain strength while socializing and having fun. It is free to attend and may be a monthly event.
