Ready for NFL Flag Football?

Bluffton Family Recreation sign-up for the sport, offered to youth 7 to 10, is underway, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

The season goes from Saturday, March 25, to Saturday, May 6. Games are Saturdays at 9 a.m. at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

The registration fee by Sunday, March 19, is $60 for non-BFR members and $50 for BFR members. Registration fee after March 19 is $65 each.

League play on Tuesdays and Thursday - April 4 to May 4

Bluffton Family Recreation sign-up for U6 soccer is underway, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.

League play begins Tuesday, April 4, and continues until Thursday, May 4, with all games played at BFR, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton. Game times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

Registration is available online at www.bfronline.com, or by CLICKING HERE. Cost is $60 for non-BFR members and $45 for BFR members. Deadline to register is Sunday, March 26.

Keeping Active 2017 ends Feb. 24

This is the final week of free classes offered this winter by Bluffton Family Recreation's Keeping Active program, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

Here's this week's free opportunities:

Monday, Feb. 20
Free walking all day to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Feb . 21
Total body conditioning, free class, 7:30 a.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 22
Free walking all day, 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Free yoga class, Bluffton Public Library, 6:30 p.m.

However, adult volleyball still on the schedule

Bluffton Family Recreation will cancel the following programs for Thursday, Feb. 9, according to Joseph Beagle, director.

•  K-3 basketball from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
• HS boys indoor soccer leagues
• Children's swim lessons (held at the Comfort Inn).

However, adult volleyball will take place.

Part of Keeping Activity free options this winter

A free class of Silver Sneakers will be offered at 9:45 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10, at Bluffton Family Recreation.

It's part of this winter’s Keeping Active program of free activities. From Jan. 16 through Feb. 24 BFR offers free fitness, physical activity, nutrition and general wellness events for youth through seniors, according to Joseph Beagle, BFR director.
