When I said that VOSH-Ohio was going to provide eye care to the primary school children at Sint Maarten, someone asked if we were traveling by cruise ship!

There are other ways to get there...even though many people relate to St. Maarten as a port-of-entry for cruise ships. Our host, Lion Davey, mentioned to me that St. Maarten has had as many as five cruise ships in port at one time.

Lima Memorial School of Nursing Alumnae recently awarded college scholarships to two students with Bluffton connections.

The two are:
• Karis Wilson, a graduate of Bluffton High School, who plans to pursue a career in nursing. Wilson is the daughter of Kent and Colleen Wilson.

• Meghan Ream is a graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School and will attend Bluffton University with plans to pursue a career in nursing. Ream is the daughter of Terry Ream and Julie Klaus.

The Bluffton Cattle Club met for their second meeting on April 15, 2018 at the Phillips house. All members were present. Community Service project ideas were talked about, but nothing was decided on.

Grace Myers gave a health report on tooth brushing. Landon Sehlhorst gave a safety report on bike safety. Hudson gave his demonstration on the by-products of the beef animal.

The entire club did our Quality Assurance training.

The meeting ended with delicious cupcakes and popcorn.
