Story by Kathleen Anderson Steiner
It was more than a decade after the end of World War II, and America was booming back and becoming rich and powerful.
The wealth of the newly prosperous country had not yet reached the young veterans and their families. My hardworking, Navy veteran father was eeking out a living working at a factory in Bluffton.
Christian Groman, a senior, is the December Bluffton High School student of the month.
Christian is involved in many activities including Math Club, Latin Club, National Honor Society, and is in Boy Scouts, having earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
He attended Buckeye Boy's State in 2017 and was a member of Ocean Focus in 2016. He is on the golf team, tennis team and the Bluffton Sardine swim team.
He works for Fyrwomyn's Lawn Service doing landscaping and pushing snow.
