Recently retired Bluffton Icon owner and editor Fred Steiner has created a new outlet for his photographic and storytelling creations, blufftonforever.com.

He explains, "Containing essays, photographs and accounts old and new, Bluffton Forever focuses on the hearty souls, art, flora, fauna, Swiss ingenuity and other factors that make our vibrant, rural Midwest community worth celebrating. Click on our Blog link and you might go home again."

Bluffton Senior Citizens Center director Tonya Meyer provided the following account in the November 2021 newsletter sent to senior center members.

On a rainy Sunday morning, 33 of us loaded the motor coach and headed East. The first day was just a driving day. The next morning, we put on our masks and enjoyed the Baseball Hall of Fame. There was something for everyone to enjoy at the museum. 

On Monday, October 18, Bluffton American Legion Post 382 Commander Fred Rodabaugh and Buckeye Boys State Staff member Dennis Morrison presented Certificates of Appreciation to Bluffton High School students Eli Okuley and Jonah Brown for their participation in the Ohio American Legion Buckeye Boys State program in 2021.

Landon Armstrong is the September Student of the Month at Bluffton High School. Landon is a junior and has a 4.000 GPA. His parents are Andy and Natalie Armstrong of Bluffton. Landon is involved in Latin Club, Math Club, Ocean Focus and National Honor Society. He is a member of the Cross Country Team, Swim Team and Track team. Last year he was a state qualifier in track.

In his spare time he likes to play disc golf, run and build computers. After graduation he would like to attend college and pursue a medical degree as a nurse practitioner.

When local pilot Taylor Reineke saw the Icon's recent story on the Bluffton Airport, he passed along this photo, taken the same week.

According Bluffton Flying Service's Nick Vance, a short "discovery flight" will determine if you'll be hooked on flying--or never want to get in a small plane again.

Bluffton High School graduate Trevor Bassitt (2017) visited the 7th and 8th graders at Bluffton Middle School on Homecoming Friday, October 15, 2021. Bassitt, who reached the 400-meter hurdles finals in the United States Olympic Team Trials in June, responded to a standing invitation from teacher Robin Ault.
