Bluffton State Farm Insurance and Ed Reichenbach State Farm recently donated $500 toward the Bluffton Lion’s Foundation to keep the bike path projecty around Bluffton moving. Dick Ramseyer accepted the donation for the Lion’s Club Foundation. Ed Reichenbach says, “Every time we come together, we get stronger. Let’s keep the good going. Share your own #GoodNeighbor story!”

 

FROM ADA ICON - Ada held a Park in the Park earlier this month. The Icon will share photos of some of those vehicles that were displayed.

Ada resident Phil Compton apparently wasn't satisfied owning just one Cadillac, so be bought a second. Here's his 1978 Couple Deville on display at this year's Park in the Park. He also owns a 1971 4-door convertible, once owned by Nelson Rockefeller.

Amanda E. Crates of Dunkirk has been appointed to the Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors for a term beginning July 27, 2020, and ending June 30, 2023. The appointment was announced this week by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.

Jenny Pilarowski of Bluffton is the winner of the Mural, Mural on the Wall Icon contest.

She correctly placed the mural pieces in their proper order. She wins a 1-item, 14-inch Padrone's Pizza.

Will replace the battery clamp used on vehicles since 1940

How often have you struggled to remove the clamp attached to your car battery? 

You know, that clamp first designed for under-the-hood use in vehicles invented 80 car models ago?

Bill Marchal, former owner of the Bluffton Dari Freeze, said that he decided something need to be done. So, he did it himself. 

He invented a clamp that replaces, in a flash, the pre-World War II technology.

It all started on a cold, windy day, as he tried to remove the battery from his tractor. 

Alexandra Besecker of Bluffton achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the Spring 2020 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y.
