A water meter replacement project involving over 1,400 meter will take place in 2020 by the village.
Larry Hoffman will join the Bluffton school board on Monday, as the board reorganizes for 2020. Hoffman was elected to the board in the November general election. He replaces Rene Smith who did not seek reelection.
In addition to Hoffman, Jeremy Scoles, who ran unopposed in November, will be sworn in to another term.
While the election of board officers and making committee appointments for 2020 is on the agenda, the board will also act on a bid for an 84-passenger school bus.
Jesse Blackburn, village administrator, issued the following announcement: "The Village of Bluffton will have a special council meeting on Monday, Dec. 30, at 8 p.m. on the third floor of the town hall to pass necessary legislation by emergency before Jan. 1, 2020."

Bluffton council met on Dec. 23, but with two members absent, was unable to pass several legislation pieces by emergency, to satisfy year-end requirements.
A special meeting is now set for 8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 30, to accomplish that, according to Jesse Blackburn, village administrator.
The most pressing item is a three-month appropriations resolution covering Jan. 1 to March 30..
Bluffton council passed several pieces of legislation on Monday as end-of-the-year requirements necessitated.
Among action included:
• Final resolution to move ahead with the Jefferson Street Improvement, Phase II
• Emergency resolution to proceed with a Johnny Appleseed Metro Park grant
• Approval of a resolution to submit an airport matching grant
• Passage of a temporary 2020 appropriations – Jan. 1 to March 30
