With an expected attendance of more than 2,500 people, the Western Ohio Aquatics League (WOAL) swim championships will return to the Village of Bluffton July 8-9. Bluffton is the host site for the WOAL every three years.
“We are excited to be the host pool for the 2016 WOAL swim champs,” said Jennie Wilson, president of the Bluffton swim team. “The WOAL summer swim program has more than 600 swimmers across eight teams, and with these swimmers come families, friends and grandparents.
But, yesterday morning this was the scene (above) at the Buckeye park from Spring Street.
The below photo shows a stream crossing the Hardin County Line south of County Line Church of the Brethren. That stream was still high on Thursday evening and traffic was unable to cross.
The Bluffton Food Pantry, operated by the Bluffton Community Assistance Program, provided the following list of items it could use immediately and for the summer.
The food pantry is open mornings on the third Saturday of each month at the St. John's United Church of Christ. Persons interested in making food or monetary donations may contact St. John's UCC.
