It's a unusual plate. The Icon spotted it recently in Dayton.

The deadline is just a few days away for area teachers to apply for a McDonald's MAC Grant. Teachers wanting to apply for the MAC Grant must have their applications postmarked or submitted electronically by July 31. Teachers can download an application or submit an application online by visiting www.JerryLewisMcDonalds.com/macgrants.

Matt Huffman, State Representative for District 4, is the guest speaker at the 11:50 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, Bluffton Lions Club meeting. The meeting is in the Patio Room of Maple Crest.

No more speculation. Wendy's is headed to Bluffton. The Lima News published the accompanying help wanted advertisement in Sunday's edition, page G6.
It states: "We are hiring for all management positions for our new location. Opening in Bluffton!....
While there is no physical Wendy's in Bluffton, most residents are placing bets on land on the north side of State Route 103 somewhere between Schoolhouse Electronics and Commercial Parkway. None of that, however, is confirmed.

The Blanchard Valley Regional Cancer Center (BVRCC), 15990 Medical Drive South, Findlay, will be hosting three American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Better events throughout the remainder of 2012. The events will be held Aug. 6, Oct. 1 and Dec. 3 from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. in the BVRCC family room.

The Bluffton Senior Center has cancelled its Western square dancing previously set for July 23. The next Western square dance night will be Monday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m. with lessons and 7 p.m. for the dance to start. Cost for the dance is $2 for members and $3 for non members.
