Save your Saturday night, Jan. 29, for some sugar and sweets at Bluffton Elementary School. The PTO is hosting Bakery Bingo. This event is open to the public; anyone can come from 6-8 p.m. and satisfy their cravings.
For a chance to win cakes, cookies and candies, just purchase a pack of Bingo cards at the door and play! One pack costs $1 each and you may buy as many as you wish. Bingo will continue until the goodies are all gone.

Rick Fricke was elected president of the Pandora council on its Jan. 11 reorganization meeting. In other action, council approved the first quarter temporary appropriations for $157,900.

Apollo Career Center plans two events of interest to local students.
On Friday, Jan. 28, Apollo holds its Hands-On day for approximately 600 sophomores in Apollo Career Center's 11-member district. Parents of sophomore students are also invited to attend.
Hands-On Day exposes students to career possibilities that they may not know about. Students choose two programs of interest and then spend over two hours visiting those labs, meeting the instructors and participating in hands-on equipment demonstrations.
Bluffton senior citizens will celebrate Valentine's Day with a carry-in potluck dinner next month. The dinner is at noon, Monday, Feb. 14, at the Senior Center.
