A hybrid Virginia-Ohio plate

This is one of the most unusual plates we've ever spotted. It is a State of Virginia plate with a strong Ohio flavor. Study it a moment; you'll see what we mean. And, in a stretch, it almost spells "Ohio."

This one is pretty unusual. It's a State of Virginia license plate, but look at all the Ohio references. "Ohio State" on the bottom; the OSU logo on the left; and in a stretch, the plate almost spells "Ohio." Study it a little and it will jump out at you.

RSVP for Friday's free chamber breakfast

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will host a "brainstorming" breakfast at 7:30 a.m., Friday, April 9, in the third floor of the town hall. The free breakfast, sponsored by Greg's Pharmacy, will allow chamber members to offer their views on what they believe the chamber should focus on during the next few years.

Four school levy information meetings in April

The Committee for Better Schools announced four community levy informational meetings held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 22; at 7 p.m.
  • and Tuesday, April 27 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

All meetings will be held in the elementary library, except for the 9 a.m. meeting on April 27, which will be held in the high school library.

These meetings concern the renewal of a one-half percent income tax for permanent improvements, which will be on the ballot May 4.
