Playing in the OHSAA Division IV tournament, the #4 seeded Pandora-Gilboa High School boys basketball team faced off against #5 seeded Delphos St. John’s in the Van Wert Sectional Final on Friday night, February 24.

LEXINGTON, Ky.--The Bluffton University women's basketball team wrapped up its season on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, following a tough matchup with the 2nd ranked team in the nation for Division 3, the Transylvania University Pioneers. The Beavers finished with a 16-10 record. Transy stays perfect with an impressive 26-0 mark as they remain the favorites to take home the Heartland Conference trophy again this year.

The Bluffton High School boys basketball team defeated Lima Central Catholic 58-42 in Div. III sectional final action at the Elida Fieldhouse Friday night, February 24.

Beavers will play #2-ranked Translvania on February 24

ANDERSON, Ind. --The Bluffton University women's basketball defeated Anderson University in the first round of the Heartland Conference Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023. The Beavers improved to 16-9 and Anderson finished its season with a 15-10 mark. The victory avenged two straight conference tourney knockouts at the hands of AU.

The Bluffton High School boys basketball team executed an epic fourth quarter rally to force an eventual double-overtime thriller against backyard rival Allen East in Div. III sectional semifinal action at the Elida Fieldhouse Wednesday night, February 22.

The Pirates then outscored AE in the second overtime 17-6, primarily from the foul line, to complete an improbable 78-67 comeback win, with the final margin of victory quite misleading.

Bluffton trailed by 16 points going into the fourth period, but rallied to tie it with a 27-11 flurry.

Including the overtimes, the Pirates outscored the Mustangs 50-23 after the third period. Bluffton scored 14 of its 17 points in the second OT at the charity stripe.

Both rivals came into the evenly-matched fray with identical 14-8 records.

Two Bluffton High School boys were named second team All-Northwest Conference in voting recently conducted by the league basketball coaches.

Bluffton sophomore guard Marek Donaldson topped the Pirates in three-point goals made and in scoring to garner second team All-NWC notice. 

Pirate junior Wade Ginther came on strong the second half of the season to also earn second team all-league honors.

Bluffton senior guard Carson Soper was tabbed honorable mention All-NWC.
