The Ada High School football team moved into the number 1 spot in Division VI Region 24 in the Ohio High School Athletic Association's weekly football computer rankings. This is the first week of the season that the Bulldogs are ranked first. The top eight teams in each region will qualify for the regional quarterfinals. The OHSAA will release final computer ratings and regional quarterfinal pairings Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28.

Lima Central Catholic is ranked number 1 in Divison V, Region 18. LCC and Ada play this weekend.

Van Buren defeated Bluffton High School girls 3-0 in soccer over the weekend.

After three straight road games including two against tough teams in LCC and Spencerville, Bluffton finally was able to play a home game and they sure took advantage of it winning 41-6 against Paulding.

Bluffton won the total yards battle 326-123, but the most impressive stat is that the Pirates attempted only three passes all game. The Pirates racked up a whopping 317 yards on the ground.

The U14/15 Bluffton Pirates soccer team completed their regular season with a perfect 10-0 record.  The Pirates scored 65 goals and only allowed 4. The team competed in the Northwest Ohio Youth Soccer League (NWOYSL) against teams from Bryan, Napoleon, Defiance, Liberty Center, Wauseon, Maumee and Toledo.
