Bring your family and friends to Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Bluffton from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, for their Fall Festival Day. Events will include a “trunk-or-treat,” hayrides, pumpkin decorating and more fun.

“Kids and parents are invited to come in costume and walk through trunk-or-treat where our members will be giving out treats from the trunks of their cars,” said Pastor Jeremy Mann. “The rest of the events will be family focused and friendly for all ages.”

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, invites Icon viewers to a Saturday, Oct. 24, Fall Festival Day at the church. Set up starts at 3 p.m. and the event is from 4 to 7 p.m.

The event includes "trunk-or-treat," hay rides, pumpkin decorating, food and fun.

Lima First Assembly of God, 1660 Findlay Road, will host a two-part Living Proof simulcast of Beth Moore, Bible teacher and popular women's author and speaker. 

The events are 6:45 to 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9, and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10.

The event challenges and encourages women to grow deeply in their faith. Over  250,000 women around the world will participate in this Internet streaming event.

Dove award-winning musical artist Travis Cottrell, who also serves as worship pastor of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, Tenn., will lead worship.

The third in a series of monthly concerts on the lawn at Bluffton Presbyterian will take place Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m.  

The concert is free and open to the public. Persons attending are invited to bring their own lawn chairs.

> On Sunday, September 20, members of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will observe Shipwreck Sunday.

On September 17, 1831, forefathers of Trinity members were on a ship called the Famous Dove which was bringing them to America from Germany.  There was a terrible storm and those on board prayed and sang hymns. 

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hold a free community meal on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 5:30-7 p.m.. In the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by the Rebecca Circle  and  the menu is ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, dessert and beverage.
