The Bluffton ecumenical Good Friday procession of the cross and worship service is scheduled for Good Friday, April 3. This event is sponsored by the Bluffton Area Ministerial Association and the public is invited to attend.
This annual procession involves people of all ages helping to carry a large wooden cross through Bluffton to various churches. The procession with the cross will begin at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, corner of Elm and Spring streets, at 11:30 a.m.
The Pandora United Methodist Church choir will present their Easter Cantata, "Praise the God of Resurrection” on Sunday, March 29 at 9:30am during the worship service. The church service and refreshments in the fellowship hall afterwards are open to the public.
The choir is directed by Pat Basinger and accompanied by Kira Davis. The church is located on state route 12 at 108 E. Washington Street in Pandora. The Rev. Duane Kemerley is the pastor. Go to www.pandoraumc.com for further information.
The Palm Sunday services at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will be led by the high school age youth. They will provide special vocal and instrumental music at 8 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 29.
The students of Trinity School and the choir will sing, “Hosanna! Ride On!.” Bible classes for all ages begin at 9:20 a.m. All are welcome.
What would it be like to live in poverty for one month?
The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) will host a poverty simulation from 9 a.m. till noon on Saturday, April 11, at Burcky Gym on the Bluffton University campus. Light refreshments will be served.
This summer's VBS program will be hosted by Bluffton Presbyterian Church July 19-23, from 6-8 p.m. The curriculum will be Bible Blast from the Past.
Volunteers from seven local churches will work together to provide this free program to the community: Presbyterian, St. Mary's Catholic, English Lutheran, Emmanuel UCC, St. Johns UCC, First Mennonite, First Methodist.
A planning meeting is set for Mon. March 23 at 7 p.m.at the Presbyterian Church, Main Street.
The Pandora United Methodist Church is hosting the Pandora Ladies Lenten Breakfast Tuesday, March 31 in the church fellowship hall.
