The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a FREE Community Meal on Wednesday, May 27, from 5:30- 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by the Mission Committee. The menu will be sub sandwiches, potato salad, chips, brownies and beverage.

The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four. In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. Friday, May 15. Boxes may be picked up at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30 Grace Mennonite Church, 502 East Main Street, Pandora.
There will be a farewell reception for Pastor Jeff and Arleen Bolwerk at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, May 10, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera. They will be leaving for Benton Harbor, Michigan, where Pastor Bolwerk will be installed as pastor at St. Matthew’s on May 17. Pastor Bolwerk has served Trinity for eight years.
Seven area churches are again partnering in the community-wide vacation Bible school program. This year’s event will be hosted by Bluffton Presbyterian Church July 19-23 from 6-8 p.m. Children age 4 through fifth grade are welcome to attend, at no cost. Children need not be attenders of any of the seven churches.
All are invited to attend a National Day of Prayer program on Thursday, May 7, at 7: pm. in the Crossroads Ministry Center at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Rd., Bluffton.
The event will include music and prayer, and will feature special guest Matt Huffman, former Speaker Pro Tempore of the Ohio House of Representatives.
Six youth will be confirmed in the Christian faith on Sunday, May 3, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera, in the 10:30 a.m. service.
The Confirmands are: Wesley Lane Below, Caden Thomas Gurney, James Steven John Miles, Amelia Grace Mitchell, Korey Lynn Strahm, and Logan Nicholas Stuckey.
A regular service will be held at 8 a.m. Beginning at 9:20 a.m., the Confirmands will give a review of Bible teachings in a question and answer format.
