Ebenezer Mennonite Church Children’s Christmas program will be presented at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 14, in the CMC. The church is located at 8905 Columbus Grove Road, Bluffton. An afterglow will be held following the program. Everyone is invited.
Mount Cory United Methodist Church will hold "Heaven Came Down," a display of angels and nativity scenes from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. December 6 and 13, and 1-5 p.m. December 7 and 14 at the Bethel Family Life Center.
The church is located at 201 West Washington Street, Mount Cory. This event is open to the public and is free of charge.
The churches of Pandora and Gilboa are offering food boxes for households in the Pandora-Gilboa School District. The boxes are designed to provide nine meals for a family of four.
In order to pick up a box, you must register by calling 419-384-3038 by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15. Boxes will be available to be picked up on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, 502 East Main Street, Pandora.
Note that pickup is a week earlier than usual due the the Christmas Holiday.
Christmas For Kids will be held at Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera, on Saturday, December 6 from 1-4:30 p.m. The afternoon will provide children in Pre-school through 4th grade a special opportunity to hear the real message of Christmas, along with Christmas crafts, music, refreshments and fun. The first of three Wednesday Advent Services will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, on at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3. The theme is: "God is with us -- fulfilling promises." The students in Grades 5-8 will sing “Prophets Knew.” All are welcome to attend.
Riley Creek United Methodist Church invites the community to its 42nd annual Christmas Carol Sing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. Like an old-fashioned songfest around the piano, the program will feature congregational singing of many traditional carols, as well as readings from Scripture about Jesus’ birth, special performances by the Pandora United Methodist Church Choir, Ottawa Sts. Peter and Paul Choir, dulcimer players from the Ottawa Presbyterian Church, and a candle lighting ceremony.
