Here's a sign that makes you pause and think. It's on St. John's United Church of Christmas sign board.

Abe Cramer is the featured musician in a Sing and Celebrate program at Riley Creek United Methodist Church, 7102 Road M, Ottawa.

The program is at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 15, according to Rev. Duane Kemerley, pastor.

Other musicians for the evening are Laura Coburn, piano and Jason Horstman, opening singing.

The congregation also celebrates the step-by-step milestones in a project to expand its building and facilities. The architectural plans for the proposed building addition will be displayed and the footprint outlined.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton, will hold an ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 3.

There will be shredded chicken or sloppy joe sandwiches, chicken noodles, baked beans, salads, pies, cakes, and Dietsch ice cream. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

FROM ADA ICON - Cars were polished to the max at the 12th annual car show held on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the County Line Church of the Brethren.

Car owners were glad to talk about their “beauties” and relate some history of their cars. There was music and a chicken BBQ, as well. The youngsters enjoyed a bounce house and the Church’s playground equipment.
