Newest leg in village pathway make Bentley Road safer for pedestrians

The Bentley Road pathway will be dedicated at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2.

The dedication and ribbon cutting opens the newest segment of the ever-expanding Bluffton Lions Way Pedestrian Pathway, according to Richard Ramseyer, chair of the pathway board.

The newest leg of the pathway is a nine-tenth mile Bentley Road path.

The pathway is in place. Next comes the signage. Masterpiece Sign personnel  installed Lions Way Bentley Path directional sign at the entrance to Bluffton University's stadium parking lot on Friday. (Dick Ramseyer photo)

FROM ADA ICON - More than 500 bargain hunters were on hand at 8 a.m. Saturday when the buzzer rang to start the Wilson Sporting Goods annual Garage Sale. Some shoppers arrived the night before and others lined up several hours before the 8 a.m. start of the sale.

Bins and bins of footballs—bargained priced at $10 up to $35 for the Super Bowl "Duke" ball—were available. And many other Wilson-made items were for sale, such as Badminton sets for $10, basketballs and soccer balls for $15.
