Transition Bluffton is pleased to present an informative session on vegetable and organic gardening with Amanda Wischmeyer of the Little Riley Creek Farm. Topics will include plant starting, weed control, soil treatment, and organic techniques and will be followed by a question and answer session.
The event is open to the public at no charge and will be held on Tuesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. the third floor meeting room of the Bluffton town hall.
Onalee Lehman Shepler graduated from Bluffton in 2002. She married fellow Bluffton alum Nick Shepler (who graduated in 2005). They have 2 children, Levi age 7 and Ivy 4. She received her Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University in 2004.
Rosemary Spinelli Carroll, a 1969 graduate of Bluffton High School, died in Scottsdale, Ariz., after a long illness. She was the daughter of Bluffton native Mary E. McGinnis Spinelli and granddaughter of Dale Owens McGinnis and Delbert A. McGinnis. The Spinelli family lived in Bluffton for one year while Col. Spinelli served in Vietnam.
Rev. Marilyn Ruth Rayle Kern died on March 15, 2018, at 6:30 a.m. She was born Dec. 27, 1933 in Celina, Ohio, to Rev. Fred D. Rayle and Elsie (Fleck) Rayle. After graduating from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, Penn., Marilyn attended Findlay College, from which she graduated in 1955. She then married G. Richard Kern and raised her family in Findlay, Ohio.
