Beyond MedSpa, 2113 Tiffin Ave Suite A, Findlay, will be hosting a Birthday Bash, in recognition of their one year anniversary on Wednesday, Jan. 31, from noon to 8 p.m.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. with the Findlay Hancock County Chamber as part of the one year celebration.

Beyond MedSpa will offer retail specials and just for stopping by individuals will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate. By making a retail or service purchase, individuals will be entered into the drawing two additional times.

Apollo Career Center will kick off Career Tech Education Month with the annual All Area Boards meeting held Thursday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. in the Apollo Commons.

This year, the Apollo Career Center is renaming and dedicating the large meeting room to the first Apollo superintendent Fred D. Goare. The room will now be called the Fred D. Goare Community Room. Members of the Goare family will be in attendance for the dedication.

Dr. Malinda Berry, assistant professor of theology and ethics at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, shared thoughts on Bluffton’s Civic Engagement Theme during the Jan. 23 Forum, “In Praise of Being Different: Nonconformity, Integrity, and Being Christian.”

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Kaycee rowe (Harrod/Allen East) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week after leading the Beavers to a pair of conference wins. It marks the second time Rowe has been named HCAC Player of the Week this year for Bluffton and fourth honor for Bluffton this season following Macey Sheerer (Bucyrus) who has also notched two Player of the Week awards!

Will put into place a Geographic Information System for sewer mapping

The Village of Bluffton took a major step forward to go below ground this month.

Bluffton council has agreed to put into place a Geographic Information System (GIS) created for sewer mapping.

Geographic Information System software is designed to store, retrieve, manage, display, and analyze all types of geographic and spatial data. GIS software enables users to produce maps and other graphic displays of geographic information for analysis and presentation.

Bluffton High School senior Justin Haggard, today, signed a letter of intent to play men’s tennis at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, in Mount Vernon. 

Justin is the son of Julien and Jenna Haggard. Justin was a District qualifier in 2017. He was also a member of the varsity football team, where he earned 2nd team All-Conference honors.

Justin plans to major in Secondary Education with a focus in Biology. Justin participates in Teens for Christ in Bluffton, and is a member of St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora.
