Featuring Dave Essinger's recent novel "Running Out"

The University of Findlay’s Ruscilli Family Bookstore in the Center for Student Life will host a reading and book signing with Dave Essinger, associate professor of English, on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.

Essinger is a resident of Bluffton.

Essinger’s recent novel, “Running Out,” was published by Mint Hill Books in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has been featured in publications such as Men’s Health magazine and the Dayton Daily News.

Bridge Bereavement Services will offer a presentation that focuses on how to cope with the loss of a loved one during the holiday season on Monday, Nov. 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 South Main St., Findlay. The presentation is free, open to the public and registration is not required.

Hilty Home, 304 Hilty Drive, Pandora, will host its annual Bazaar Friday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It will feature baked goods, crafts, soups and sandwiches.This year the menu will include chili and chicken noodle soup ($ 2 a bowl), shredded chicken sandwiches, ham and turkey subs ($2.50 each), homemade bread, noodles, caramel corn and assorted party mixes ($2 a bag), baked goods, cookies, angel food cakes, and pies. 

Shoebox with a Purpose, a program of the Pandora Missionary Church, will hold a craft-vendor sale from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19, at the church, 300 Rocket Ridge, Pandora.

The event will have over 30 vendors, face painting, a DJ and a concession stand.

Bluffton council's safety service committee will meet next week. The meeting is at noon, Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the third floor of the town hall. The agenda is the 2018 police budget.

 

 

The SHANNON Service Club will be hold its annual craft/garage sale and
chicken barbecue on Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3, 2018.

The garage/craft Sale will be on March 2, from noon to 8 p.m. and March 3 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The barbeue will be on March 2 from 4:40 to 6:30 p.m. This is a change of date and starting time from previous sale. Persons with questions or would like to reserve a booth may contact Connie at 419-233-2757.
