Sielschott intends to draw on his exposure to the small business community through his professional practice, his chairmanship of the National Federation of Independent Business Association, Allen County Area Action Council, and his interaction with politicians, regulators and taxing authorities.
The Lima area Habitat for Humanity is moving its ReStore to a new location and can still use volunteers to help with the moving and store set-up process.
The new location is 550 W. Elm St. in Lima.
The ReStore sells overstocked, dis-continued, new and used building materials, furniture, appliances and much more donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals.
Bluffton Soccer will hold soccer registrations soon for spring team. Registration forms are due no later than Feb 5.
Open registration takes place from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, and Thursday, Feb 2, from 6 to 8 at the middle school. In front of the cafeteria.
Bluffton soccer is a recreational soccer league. It averages 170 players ages 6 to 19 in organized teams. Bluffton teams play other teams across northwestern Ohio in the Black Swam Soccer League, part of the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North.
Pianists of all ages are invited to Piano Day at Bluffton University for a master class with the Pridonoff Piano Duo. The free program is set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Bluffton's Yoder Recital Hall; check-in will begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Yoder lobby.
Students from various schools will perform for, and receive comments from, Elisabeth and Eugene Pridonoff, who formed the duo in 1982.
The Bluffton Elemenary P.T.O. will host its annual Bakery Bingo event on Saturday, Jan. 28, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bluffton Middle School Cafetorium, according to Amy Mikesell, P.T.O. event coordinator.
Participants in the annual fundraiser can purchase a pack of 12 bingo cards for $1. Winners will take home donated bakery items. The P.T.O. raises additional funds at the event by selling concessions and 50/50 tickets for gift baskets, which have also been donated by local businesses and community members.
Bluffton's next American Red Cross blood drive is from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, at First Mennonite Church.
