Students are taught the importance of saving, the differences between wants and needs, and about understanding the value of money.
In 2010, the bank started a "Young Entrepreneurs" program that specifically focused on encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit, personal responsibility, and creativity.
This year, the bank has continued delivering that message and encouraging students to take ownership of the things they want by earning their own money.
Bluffton Hospital invites the community to a preview of the new Bluffton Hospital Emergency Department and Surgery Department on Sunday, June 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The preview will include tours of the new surgery suites and emergency treatment rooms. Bluffton Hospital nurses, staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

Maple Crest Senior Living Village participated in the "Fitness Day" that was organized by Wellness Coordinator, Jessica Ladd of BFR. Fitness Day was held around Bluffton at several locations that included a site at Maple Crest.
The two main activities that were featured at Maple Crest were: Wii Bowling and a miniature game of golf called "Sholf." The theme for the day was "Make Fitness a Goal for Life." Although the group that attended at MC was small, it was mighty!
Maple Crest held its annual fishing derby on June 9, which took place in unexpected sunshine! Approximately 240 people attended the event, a record crowd for the fishing derby.
