Treva Marlene Stratton, 91, passed away April 26, 2022, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Treva was born February 19, 1931 in Bluffton, to the late William and Rhoda (Burkholder) Althaus. On August 9, 1953 she married Robert Stratton who preceded her in death on November 28, 2019.
On April 26 the Bluffton High School track and field teams particpated in a quad meet at Ada. Teams from Fort Jennings and Ben Logan rounded out the competition.
Led by strong efforts in the field events, the Bluffton boys took first place, while the girls took second place.
The Pirates travel to Liberty-Benton on Saturday, April 30, to compete in the Pat Wagner Invitational.

The visiting Bluffton High School varsity softball team shut out local non-league rival Cory-Rawson 15-0 on a chilly Tuesday evening, April 26.
The Pirate girls improved to 6-5 with the lopsided victory.
Winless C-R fell to 0-7 with the defeat.
Pirate hurler Hannah Davis gave up just two hits over seven innings to earn the shutout and her sixth win. She aided her own cause with a hit and two runs batted in.
Olivia Hobensack led the Pirate offense with a double, three singles and four runs batted in.
