Senior volleyball standout Kylie Stackhouse signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Tiffin University Tuesday, November 16 at Bluffton High School.
As a Pirate, Stackhouse is Bluffton’s career kills leader with 1,301. She was a three-time, first team All-Northwest Conference pick. In 2021, she was named first team all-district and will participate in the District 8 All-Star game.
The Bluffton Exempted Village Schools Board of Education held its November regular meeting on Monday, November 15 in the Elementary Media Center, 102 S. Jackson. All board members were present for the approximately 35 minute meeting.
Alice Marie Epley, 80, passed away November 16, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Alice was born September 6, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Myron and Lena (Shank) Brenneman. On July 20, 1963 she married Darrel Alvin Epley who preceded her in death on December 13, 2013.

This weekend, Bluffton will once again tip off the girls basketball season by hosting the annual four-team McDonald's Holiday Tournament.
The Lady Pirates will face local rival Cory-Rawson in the second semifinal Friday night, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. The Hornet girls are the defending tournament champion.
The first semifinal contest between Allen East and Arlington will start at 6 p.m.
The third-place consolation contest will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m. (UPDATED)
Bluffton University will host a Jazz Ensemble concert from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Under the direction of Dr. Bo Young Kang, the first half of the concert will feature vocalists performing a variety of jazz, movie and musical pieces composed by Cole Porter, David Foster, Irving Kahal and more.
Conducted by Dr. Andrew Lieberman, the Jazz Ensemble will perform two classic Count Basie tunes written by Sammy Nestico as well as two modern jazz selections written by Michael Kocour and Maria Schneider.
