Montez Archer Jr. selected for his outstanding season at Bluffton

In The (D3FB) Huddle has named Bluffton University football player Montez Archer Jr. (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) its Rookie of the Season.

The HCAC Defensive Player, Special Teams Player and Newcomer of the Year was recently honored by the In The (D3FB) Huddle podcast for his outstanding season. Members of the podcast were stunned to find out that Jr. was his name, not his class.

Sophomore Bobbi Adams (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) was named Third Team All-Central Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) following the 2021 softball season.

Adams spent time behind the plate, at third base and at first as she was DP/UT honoree on the third team. It marks the second time in three years that a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes in Delaware has been honored by the NFCA as Adams followed in the footsteps of 2020 graduate Caylin Morstadt who was named 3rd team all-region as a junior.

Due to gas line work on Washington Street near Et Cetera Shop, the street will be closed on Friday, May 21.

Because of that, Et Cetera will not be accepting donations on Friday, according to Chrissy Lugibihl, manager.
