It’s maple syrup weather as temperatures dip below freezing at night and rise above freezing in the daylight hours. Those conditions occurred during the past four days.

John E. Sharp will present “Changing the World One Life at a Time: The MJ Sharp Story” at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in Yoder Recital Hall.
Sharp will reflect on the life of his son MJ Sharp who died in his prime as a peacebuilder in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On March 12, 2017, while on a mission to investigate the sources of violence in the Kasai Central Province, MJ and a UN colleague were abducted and murdered for unknown reasons. In his Keeney Peace Lecture, John Sharp will speak as a parent, asking what it means to love enemies and to leave vengeance to God.

Junior shortstop Caylin Morstadt (Delaware/Rutherford B. Hayes) has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.
Morstadt led Bluffton with a .478 batting average as the Beavers went 2-6 over their final eight games in Florida last week. The junior finished with team highs of 11 hits, 10 runs, a .783 slugging percentage and a .600 on-base percentage.
Kevin Tuttle says his favorite ice cream sundae is hot chocolate.
That’s important to know, because Kevin and his wife, Julie, are the new owners of Bluffton Dari Freeze, 595 S. Main St. The business will open for the season on Saturday.
The Tuttles purchased Bluffton’s favorite summer hangout earlier this year from Billy and Phyllis Marchal.
Kevin says the spring hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 to 9 p.m. Sundays. Those hours might expand once summer arrives. The business changed its phone number to 567-226-1008.
