Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will hold its 5th annual 5K Run/Walk for Literacy on Saturday, June 16.
Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Co., and the Friends of the Library host the event. The run/walk begins at 9 a.m. in front of Bluffton High School on College Avenue.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Bluffton Public Library lower level. Registration fees are $20 (10 years and under, free).

Bill Triplett of the Triplett family will give lessons on how to ride a high wheeler bicycle from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, June 18, at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road.
The Boneshaker bike is a replica of a high wheeler bike model that became popular after 1888.
The bike was donated to the Bluffton Lions Foundation by the Triplett family to promote the Lions bike path project and the annual Ride to Remember bike ride, which will take place on Saturday, July 14.

"Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey," will be shown Friday, June 15, beginning at 9:15 p.m. Follow the adventures of three pets as they go searching for their owners. The movie is rated G.
As a nod to the vintage cars that will be cruising down Bluffton's streets that evening, freshly made popcorn will be available for only 10 cents a bag.
In the event of rain, the movie will be shown in the church sanctuary.
The Bluffton Sardines swim team launched its 2018 season against Westside earlier this week. Several swimmers set individual records. The attachment shows Bluffton swim member results.
The Sardines travel to Ada tonight (June 14) to swim against the Ada Gators.
Hull's Trace Wine Cellar, 105 E. Liberty St., Arlington, will host its first Sit and Sip with author David C Greer, from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June. 23.
Greer, a practicing trial lawyer from Dayton, will share some of the stories from his recently published book "God is Merciful: The Colorful Career of John E Egan."
His presentation will include tales about John Dillinger, Alvin Karpis, Al Capone and J. Edgar Hoover. Stay for the crimes which made Ohio headlines while having your picture taken with Dillinger or Capone.
