Don't toss out your old shoes. Bluffton Family Recreation want them. The BFR shoe drive now takes place year-around.
Earlier this spring BFR's shoe drive collected 5,550 pairs of shoes, earning BFR over $2,000.
The drive not only keep shoes out of landfills, it sends them to 24 non-profit agencies around the globe. There the shoes will be refurbished and used.
This was the fourth year for BFR’s shoe drive. The previous drive generated over $4,000 to BFR.
There's probably more than four deer in this photo. We simply can't see them all. These deer are in the woods west of Bluffton on Columbus Grove Road near Maple Grove Cemetary.
Interview by Liz Gordon-Hancock
After interviewing Theresa and Natasha Meyer last week, I reached out to other twins who grew up in Bluffton. I caught up with Jordan and Braden Skilliter.
Jordan and Braden are fraternal twins. For the record, Jordan was born first, by 10 minutes. They are the sons of Rick and Meri Skilliter. They graduated from Bluffton in 2015.
What are you up to now?|
Jordan: I am currently taking classes at the University of Toledo in the field of mechanical engineering.
