That's "brittle," but not with peanuts. This special edition is black walnut brittle. It is available while supplies last at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., The price is $7 for one-half pound.
The center also has its traditional peanut brittle priced at $5 for one pound. The holiday candy is available while supplies last.
Two photographs taken by Jamie Nygaard of Bluffton will be part of an ArtSpace/Lima juried photography exhibit in January. One of the photos received second place in the miscellaneous category.
The photo titles are “Searching for Hamlet,” (second place award), and Beneath the Bridge.
An opening exhibit reception is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, at ArtSpace, 65 Town Square, Lima. The exhibit runs through Saturday, Feb. 9.

The Bluffton University men's basketball team lost a nail-biter to Transylvania, 65-62, on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, with three Beavers notching double digits. Even though Bluffton led 60-53 with just over four minutes to play, but the visitors allowed just two points the rest of the way for their third win of the season. Bluffton stands 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the Heartland Conference.
