Bluffton Police Department released its February Docket, which follows:
February 1
Officers arrested John W. Deaton, 43, Rockford, for driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the area of State Route 103 and Interstate 75 for a registration violation. During the same incident, officers also arrested Rebecca Purtee, 42, Rockford, for wrongful entrustment. Both cases are pending in Findlay Municipal Court.
AEP has contracted with Nelson Tree Service for some tree trimming around power lines in Bluffton this winter and spring. You've seen the white trucks with "Work Ahead" signs throughout the village. Here two employees are wrestling with branches behind Bob and Bev Amstutz's house on South Jackson Street.
Just like the temperature, the daily work of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) fluctuates between winter and spring.
“This is the time of year where we must continue to be ready for snow and ice, but also respond to potholes which can develop quickly in pavements due to freeze and thaw,” said Kirk Slusher, deputy director for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1.
State Representative Bob Cupp (R-Lima) and State Senator Matt Huffman (R-Lima) have announced the introduction of the state's Capital Budget, which invests $2.62 billion statewide, including $500,000 in funding for projects specific to Allen County.
The legislature generally approves a capital budget every two years with the goal of funding needed improvements to public services and facilities across the state, including schools, roads and bridges, waterways and parks.
