Several long-serving Bluffton University employees were recently recognized for this commitment during the annual faculty and staff recognition dinner where employees—reaching 5-year milestones up to 30 years—were celebrated.
M. Eileen Basinger, 88, died Saturday morning, Jan. 27, 2018, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, Ohio. She was born on Jan. 4, 1930, to Arthur and Clara (Martin) Unverferth. They both preceded her in death. On April 29, 1950, Eileen married T. Forrest Basinger, and he preceded her in death.
The first planning meeting for this year's Lions Club Festival of Wheels is set for 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the third floor meeting room of the town hall.
Dan Diller is this year's chair of the event, replacing Dennis Morrision, who retired after chairing the festival for several years.

Former Bluffton resident Rosanna Yoder Hostetler, 87, died at Brandywine Hall in West Chester, Pa., on Jan. 29, 2018.
Born June 9, 1930, in Elverson, Pa., to John and Anna Yoder, Rose graduated from Goshen College in Goshen, Ind. Along with her late husband David, she served the Mennonite Church as a missionary in Brazil. She was the manager of Provident Bookstore in Scottdale, Pa., for many years.
