The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force will hold its annual Volunteer Recognition and Awards Program on Thursday, Nov. 30, at The Met in Lima, 306 North Main St. from 5 – 7 p.m.
Volunteers will be recognized for their contribution to assisting with bike and pedestrian counts, bike rodeos, and their work towards supporting a bike and pedestrian friendly community.
Recognition will be given for the Advocate of the Year, Business of the Year, and for other volunteers.
Riley Creek Arbor of Bluffton is assisting to host an open house at Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Ottawa, set from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.
The equestrian center is located at 11913 Road 6, Ottawa.
Riley Creek Arbor is providing a continental breakfast at the event.
The open house introduces the public to the work of the center and also encourages volunteers. The mission of the Challenged Champions Equestrian Center is to enrich and change the lives of children and adults with special needs through facilitated equine activities.
The Bluffton University music department will showcase its ensembles during the annual Christmas Festival Forum on campus. The holiday concert will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Yoder Recital Hall.
During the concert, ensembles will perform compositions that prepare hearts and minds for the Christmas season.
