The holidays can be a particularly difficult time to cope with the loss of a loved one and the Tree of Remembrance memorial serviceprovides a forum where families can come together to express their grief, but also find peace for years to come.
Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services will hold its Tree of Remembrance memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 3, at The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St., for those who have lost a loved one this year or in years past.
Persons attending may begin arriving at 1 p.m. A brief memorial service is at 2 p.m.
The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force will hold its annual Volunteer Recognition and Awards Program on Thursday, Nov. 30, at The Met in Lima, 306 North Main St. from 5 – 7 p.m.
Volunteers will be recognized for their contribution to assisting with bike and pedestrian counts, bike rodeos, and their work towards supporting a bike and pedestrian friendly community.
Recognition will be given for the Advocate of the Year, Business of the Year, and for other volunteers.
