accounting and business administration double major at Bluffton University

Jason Summers, an accounting and business administration double major at Bluffton University, has spent the last two semesters as well as the summer learning outside of a traditional classroom setting.

The junior from Alvada, Ohio, has been gaining knowledge in his field by taking part in three successive internships. With help from Bluffton’s many career-furthering opportunities, Summers is thankful for each experience.

Two events related to the “Mirror of the Martyrs” exhibit

Two events related to the “Mirror of the Martyrs” exhibit at Bluffton University will take place the third full week of October.
 

Gary Reese of Faith Investment Services, Bluffton, recently received the Fraternal Agent of the Year award from Gleaner Life Insurance Society for his involvement as a Gleaner agent and helping to start the Riley Creek Arbor.

As a result, he was able to direct a $1,000 donation to the Bluffton Community Preschool in September. He will be acknowledged at the Gleaner Convention in Traverse City, Mich., in October.

Faith Investment Services has been in business since 2003 and is located at 122 N. Main Street, Bluffton, where Reese holds client conversations by appointment.

American Cancer Society presentation, tutor me paperless and family book club

Three programs of interest to the general public are on this week's calendar at the Bluffton Public Library.

Tuesday - American Cancer Society
On Tuesday, Oct 10, at 6:30 pm, the American Cancer Society will discuss its mission, explain how you can get involved, offer resources and register anyone interested in the upcoming Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
