BLUFFTON, Ohio - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016-17 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - Coach James Kusak, head men’s soccer coach at Bluffton University, is pleased to announce that Sean Elvert, graduate assistant for the past two seasons, has recently been named the new goalkeeper coach at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.
Carol Anne (Sammet) Groman, 85, died at 6:10 a.m. on May 22, 2017 at Bluffton Hospital surrounded by her family and friends after three years of treatment for soft tissue sarcoma.
Carol was born Jan. 6, 1932, in Marseilles to the late Ralph and Wilda (Bear) Sammet. On July 3, 1955, she married Morris Joseph Groman who died on Jan. 20, 2017.
Trevor Bassitt was named the Northwest Conference male athlete of the year and his coach, William Theisen, was named male coach of the year. Trevor holds the NWC trophy and Theisen holds the District trophy won by the BHS boys' team. This week is the Division III track and field regionals. CLICK HERE to view district results.
This year’s 3rd annual Ride to Remember bicycle event, set for Saturday, July 8, in Bluffton, takes bike riders as far they want to go – from 2 miles to a 112-mile Gran Fondo.
Riders from past year’s come from across Ohio and neighboring states. The village has several events going on for family members not riding, while the ride is underway.
