Registration for Bluffton youth softball and baseball now underway

It’s January but Bluffton Diamond Sports is already dreaming about spring training, according to Brad Dailey.

Registration is underway for spring teams involving:
• baseball teams for: 7-8 year-old boys, Little League (9-10 age), Junior Pony (11-12) Junior High,
• softball teams for: Coaching Pitch (8-10), Tri-County 11-13) and Junior High

It's a big world out there. Two students at Bluffton Community Preschool recently studied a globe to understand just how large it is.

Bluffton Public Library offers free one-on-one tech tutoring sessions on Wednesdays by appointment.

These sessions happen every other month and cover the basics of navigating laptops, PCs, smart phones, tablets, Microsoft Office, or obtaining eBooks free through the Ohio Digital Library by way of the Overdrive app.

Several January and February programs for youth get underway soon at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Joseph Beagle, director. Classes start the week of Jan. 8.

Here’s the class update:
Rookie sports - Tuesdays, 4:15-5 p.m.
For ages 4-6, youngsters will play a variety of sports
Tennis – Call BFR for more details.

K-3 basketball - Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
For youth from Kindergarten, first, second and third grades
