The Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Ted’s Market. The menu is pulled pork sandwich, au gratin potatoes, green beans, ice cream, punch, water and coffee.

Get ready for the Bluffton High School homecoming parade. It's the best small-town homecoming parade in northwestern Ohio.
It's Friday, Sept. 23. Line up is at the Centre at 5 p.m. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m.
According to Tracie Bricker of the BHS Football Moms: Please come join in the fun and be in the parade.
All organizations, business and family participants are welcome. Line up will begin at the Candy can be handed out from those walking. No candy can be thrown from the floats.
The Bluffton junior varsity girls' soccer game kicked off at 10 a.m. on Saturday against Riverdale. Sophomore Hannah Yost in the goal blocked multiple shots to hold the Falcons to 1 goal at half time.
In the second half, freshman goalkeeper, Lilly Campbell, also blocked several shots by Riverdale, but the Falcon offense was strong, the final score was 0-5 Riverdale.
The varsity game started at noon in Bluffton, with Senior Captain Jadyn Barhorst in the goal. WIth 14 minutes left in the first half, Riverdale landed the first goal.
Marilyn E. Porzelius, 83, of Chenoa, Ill., formerly of Gridley, died at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Center, rural Chenoa.
She was born March 10, 1933, in Amity Township, Livingston County. She married Fredrick J. Porzelius on July 24, 1954, at Salem Church, rural Gridley. He died on Dec. 9, 2014.
