Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) was recently named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, part of the IBM Watson Health business. This is the fifth time BVH has been recognized with this honor. Previous years in which the organization received this distinction include 2005, 2011, 2015 and 2016.

The March winds earlier this month took their toll on several area trees and roofs. One of the victims was part of the roof of the former Bluffton Elevator on Cherry Streeet. It is one of Bluffton's oldest buildings.

You can now purchase Bluffton Slaw Cutters at Lehman’s Hardware in Kidron, Ohio. The hardware is a popular tourist stop in eastern Ohio. It was voted the best place to visit in Amish Country.
Bill Sehlhorst, owner of the slaw cutter company, said that Lehman’s started carrying the cutters in December. He added that Lehman’s appreciated the packaging of the Bluffton-made product.
