The air outside today was sharp and cold, but inside the Betty House of Willow Ridge I found plenty of warmth. It immediately felt like home.

With the Citizens National Bank time and temperature reading 44 degrees, Bluffton celebrated its rite of the holidays with the Blaze of Lights on Nov. 28.

Paul Dyck, the 2015 Blaze of Lights "switch-hitter," talks with John George prior to turning on this year's Ream Holiday Folk Art Display on the Bluffton Presbyterian Church lawn. Dyck is a retired administrator of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Bluffton University women’s basketball team remained unbeaten, dispatching the Kalamazoo College Hornets, 74-58, on Saturday, Nov. 28. The Beavers improved to 4-0 on the season, while the Hornets record slipped to 1-2.
Saturday is "Junior Weihrauch Day in Bluffton." The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce announced the designation at its Nov. 13 breakfast meeting

John George, as the town crier, has served as Blaze master of ceremonies each year since 1995. You'll find him on the review stand announcing the parade units.
Romick Railway for kids is one of Bluffton's Blaze popular activities. The railway will be in Saturday's parade. Following the parade it will provide rides of youngsters on Main Street in front of the Senior Citizens Center. (Santa and Mrs. Claus are inside the center.)
