Lots of activity is taking place surround the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA), which is headed to Bluffton on Sunday, June 21.

Several volunteer chairpersons are now working on specific assignments for the day. Those chairpersons are:

Robert "Bob" W. Housh, 84, died at 7:45 a.m. March 31, 2015, at his residence.He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in LaMoure, N.D., to the late Charles and Dorothy (Witt) Housh. On Dec. 7, 1962, he married Gloria (Bruse) Housh who survives.

Bertie will celebrate her 100th birthday on Friday, April 10. She was born the youngest of 10 children to Charles and Louisa Ramga Shrider near Lafayette, Ohio, in 1915, graduated from Lafayette High School in 1932, and married Frederick Swank of Bluffton in 1943.

Apollo Career Center will hold its third annual Apollopalooza on April 16 from 5:30-7 p.m. Apollopalooza will showcase both the high school and adult education programs, as well as the newly opened academic and career tech wings. The event is free and open to the public.

First Mennonite Church invites the community to attend their Easter Sunday services on April 5. These include a sunrise service at 7:30 a.m. at the west-end shelterhouse of the Buckeye Park, a potluck breakfast at 9:30 a.m. in the church's fellowship hall, and worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Ohio Music Education Association held Junior High Solo & Ensemble Contest at Elida High School on March 28th. Congratulations to Bluffton String Orchestra members for 10 Superior ratings and 6 Excellent ratings. The Bluffton orchestra director is Rachael Lewis.p
