It's the hottest thing in Bluffton's coldest month. It's Bluffton Elementary PTO Bakery Bingo and its Saturday, Jan. 31.
This year's event, open to the public, is from 6 to 8 p.m. in the middle school cafetorium. Doors open at 5 p.m.
A concession stand is available, which offers everything from chicken sandwiches, pretzels with cheese, and other items, including Luke's Pizza and Common Grounds coffee.
Bingo cards are 12 for $1. Winners have your choice of any donated baked goods.
Bluffton University honored 29 faculty and staff members for their years of service at the university’s annual recognition dinner on Jan. 25. The honorees have been at Bluffton for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40 years.

A couple "older experienced Buckeye fans" Marcia Gallant and Brenda Byers attended the OSU National Championship celebration at OSU stadium Saturday Jan. 24.
They left Bluffton at 6 a.m. with a bag full of winter clothing and enjoyed the band, the team and thousands of other Buckeye crazies as the National Championship trophy and other awards were shared with the crowd.
